**Grinder Operator**

Based **Blackburn, **Lancashire

We are currently looking to recruit a Grinder / Blender operator to join our team working from our Engineering site in Blackburn which manufactures various metal-based products. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various grinding equipment as part of the manufacturing process to ensure finished products meet quality expectations.

**The Role**:

- Use appropriate tools and machines for grinding, blending, deburring and finishing exposed welds to desired shape and dimensions.
- Ensuring grinding meets quality expectations.
- Ensuring quality, volume and safety standards are achieved.
- This role may also involve methods such as centreless polishing where full training will be given.
- Daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) checks to ensure all equipment is safe to use, reporting any faults to Supervisor.
- Any other duties as required.

**The Person**:

- Previous experience as a Grinder desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment (Essential)
- Must be used to a physical role.
- Ability to work on own initiative and achieve daily production targets.
- High levels accuracy to produce quality work first time.

**Working Hours**: 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday / 7am - 12.45pm Friday.
