**ARE YOU A QUALITY INSPECTOR WITH A BACKGROUND IN A FOUNDRY ENVIRONMENT?**

**FOUNDRY QUALITY INSPECTOR **required for a specialist manufacturer who are well established in their industry. They are renowned for producing high quality products for a wide range of sectors.

The role would **QUALITY INSPECTORS** from a foundry, castings or metallurgical background. Applicants will ideally have experience working in a ductile iron or steel environment. You must have experience using verniers, calipers, gauges, jigs and other measurement techniques. The role requires strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.

Reporting to the Quality Lead, you will be responsible for inspecting cast ductile iron and steel castings for turbo/manifold and general engineering sectors. You will approve or reject both raw and machined castings in accordance with quality standards. You will inspect and verify product quality using visual and dimensional inspection methods. You will work to SOPS and ensure all inspection records/reports are updated for traceability and compliance of product. You will support with customer returns process by evaluating product quality of defects prior to acceptance. You will work closely with the quality and technical teams on site.

*Visual and dimensional inspection/checks on both raw and machined castings

*Working to strict quality standards

*Identifying cast defects or non conforming castings

*Actioning follow ups on non conformance

*Record updates and report writing

*Working closely with the quality and technical team on site

*Monday to Friday. 06:00 to 14:00

**Foundry Quality Inspector**

*Must have experience as a quality inspector

*Will ideally transfer from a foundry or metallurgy background

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £26,000.00 per hour
