We have a number of exciting career opportunities available for Children’s Senior Residential Support Worker within our homes in the Clayton Le Wood, Chorley area. You will work as part of a team providing quality residential childcare services for children within a safe and secure environment.

For experienced Residential Support Worker who are qualified to level 3 in Children & Young People workforce, may have an opportunity to enrol into our Accelerated Registered Manager Programme where you have a fantastic opportunity to become a Registered Manager in one of our homes within 18-24 months depending on individual progression.

**About the job**:
You will be key in helping the young people and leading a team of Support Workers. This is a challenging role, where no two days are the same, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results on the young people in our care and the staff team you lead.

**Entry Requirements**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People or equivalent
- Experience working with children/young people in a Residential Childcare setting, for at least two years
- Experience in a supervisory capacity for at least one year
- Knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted Requirements
- Computer literacy
- A driving licence

**Coaching and mentoring**
- At the outset, you will be assigned a senior supervisor to help guide your progression. They will agree a planned course of action with you and provide all the means necessary to achieve your career goals.

**Formal training**
- To enhance your practical training, you will be enrolled onto Level 5 in Children, Young People and Family Manager Apprenticeship as well as other management Courses.

**Progress checks**
- You will receive regular formal progress checks to ensure we are doing everything we can to support your learning journey.

**End-of-year assessment**
- You will be given the chance to demonstrate your new skills and commercial knowledge during assessments at the end of each year, as well as a final assignment before completing the programme.
