**What's on offer?**
- Shifts: Rotating shifts Monday to Friday Days: 06:00 to 16:00 and Nights: 20:00 to 06:00 (one week of days and one week of nights)
- Pay rate: £16.40 per hour (39 hours) plus overtime at time and a half
- Sunday nights are required (every 4th) paid at double time
- 32 holidays per year

**The Details**:
The successful Maintenance Fitter will become part of a team of mechanical and electrical engineers whose role is to ensure that the running of the mill is consistent and that breakdowns are kept to a minimum and all PPMs are completed without and downtime.

The maintenance fitter will work in an environment that is befitting for a steel mill, which houses two furnaces which run for 20 hours for 4 to 5 days per week.

and on machines that are of an age that parts need to be manufactured specifically for.

Reporting into the Works Engineer the role will involve all aspects of trouble shooting, problem solving and project work.

Carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is achieved.
- Proven experience within a similar role and similar environment
- 5 years Maintenance fitter/engineer experience as a minimum
- Ideally have experience with overhead cranes, welding, hydraulics and Pneumatics as well as preventative maintenance within a heavy engineering environment.
- Must be able to commit to rotating shifts with the ability to work one in four Sunday night.
