**Community Warden**

Delivering a professional and reassuring presence within the Town Centre of Andover by providing frontline customer service with the view of reducing levels of crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB), reducing the fear of crime and increasing public reassurance. Working on behalf of and in conjunction with Wiltshire Crime Commissioner (PCC), Wiltshire Police and other agencies our ASB Hotspot Community Warden team will work to deliver safer and more pleasant Town Centre.

**£13.75 per Hour, 40 hours a week + training + pension**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Provide a visible, alert and smart presence within Andover
- Undertake routine foot patrols as required
- Respond to and manage incidents efficiently and effectively
- Liaise with local businesses and other stakeholder as required
- Liaise with police, client representatives and other agencies as necessary

**Details**:

- Extensive training given to those suitable to become an Accredited Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) Officer
- 40 hrs per week working a varied shift pattern of afternoons and evenings 7 days a week.
- Job holders must have a current and active SIA licence (either Door Supervision or Close Protection)
- Good negotiator and problem solver
- Able to use own initiative to assess situations and respond appropriately
- Smart, well-presented and confident
- Experience in dealing with anti-social behaviour and working in partnership with local authorities and the Police

**Experience**:

- security and/or anti social behaviour: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- SIA DS/ CP licence (required)

Pay: £13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
