We are looking for passionate and caring Support workers to join our team in Roche where we support people with learning disabilities. We have a range of full time and part-time opportunities on a permanent basis.

You do need to hold a full driving license

You will also receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.

The people we support enjoy a range of activities from annual holidays to going to the theatre and cinema. One person we support has recently been surfing with the Wave Project. We rely on good communication within the team to ensure good outcomes for the people we support. Our team share ideas to ensure they are supported by the rest of the team. We have a long standing staff team with a huge amount of experience and knowledge. We enjoy a team that supports each other so they can be the best they can at supporting but also to enjoy your work and create a positive environment for the people that live there.
- What does a Support Worker do?As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality. Typical responsibilities may include:

- Supporting people to live independently - budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
- Excellent communication skills and Relationship building - supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- Community & Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
