**Reception and KS1 Whole Class Teaching Assistant**

**Location**: Gateshead - Ryton (NE40)

**Contract Type**: Full-time, Temporary

**Contract Duration**: April 15th to July 26th

**Hours**: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday

**Salary**: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities suitable for Reception and Key Stage 1 students.
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning.
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and materials.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils, promoting positive behavior and well-being.
- Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress and achievement.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or CACHE Level 3 in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- A passion for working with young children and supporting their educational development.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £12.82-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
