**Trainee Kitchen Assistant**

We are currently looking for passionate, driven and ambitious individual to join our kitchen team at Pathfinders-Care. Ideally you are a person who has a passion for catering, and wants to climb the career ladder, with the ambition of eventually running your own kitchen one day.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be required to help with the preparation of meals and support other members of your team. You will need to:

- Pot wash
- Help prepare ingredients
- Prepare sandwiches according to specification.
- Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area (and, where appropriate, the dining areas) is carried out effectively
- Report to the Kitchen Team leader, or the Maintenance person, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.
- Ensure that all morning and afternoon tea trolleys are cleared away and wiped down accordingly for their next use.
- Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Promote safe working practice in the Home.
