Based in an inner city multi-racial area of Leeds, Chapeltown Citizens Advice provides a comprehensive advice service from its main office and outreaches.

This new project will present you with an exciting opportunity to maintain and develop a quality generalist advice service tailored to meet the specific needs of Renal Unit Patients at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds and other neighbouring outreach dialysis units.

This exciting new position will present the successful applicant with a unique opportunity to maintain and develop a quality generalist advice service tailored to meet the specific needs of Renal unit Patients.

Enquiry areas will be (though not exclusively): benefits, debt, housing, employment, immigration, education, community care, health, family, discrimination, education, tax and legal procedures.

The Service will comply with the AQS General Help Quality Mark Standards and will be delivered within the aims, policies and principles of the Citizens Advice service.

You should have recent experience, full or part time equivalent, paid or unpaid, of advising clients and carrying casework within a generalist advice work setting including recent experience and a good working knowledge of all aspects of welfare rights advice.

You will carry and manage your own caseload.
