**Ladieswear Designer**

**Leeds**

**Salary Circa £35k pa**

Invigorate Recruitment is working with its client on the outskirts of Leeds a fashion brand to recruit an experienced Ladieswear Designer.

As the Ladieswear Designer you will be part of the design and buying team. Your main areas of responsibility will be knitwear and loungewear.

Working closely with the buying team and head of design, to continually grow and develop the offer.

You will also be required to work on specific inline ranges for their partner companies, in liaison with their wholesale team and partner buyers. You will be required to develop graphics, embroideries and prints to sit with your styles where needed.

You will be dealing directly with suppliers to develop your designs, creating a good rapport with them and providing detailed techpacks. You will also contribute new ideas and concepts to the team, that are tailored to the brand’s customer, you will achievethis by having an in-depth knowledge of the market and relevant trends.

The role also involves you managing any given deadlines and attending sign off meetings.
- Trend research, design and development of ranges
- Attending regular meetings with buyers
- Sourcing of new fabrics
- Work collaboratively with design, buying and QC from concept to completion aligning on seasonal direction, trends, timelines and customer insights.
- Create amazing products and work with the finest fabrics.
- Build brand identity by delivering beautiful collections that are true to the Joe Browns aesthetic.
- Ensure the development of the collections and trends each season, providing a complete knitwear, swimwear and loungewear offer for our customer.
- Engage in research for the knitwear department ensuring our customer focus by constantly evaluating customer types, trends, insights, and tendencies.
- Provide a high level of awareness and knowledge of current and future trends and to use this enhance the design quality of the department.

**Skills & Requirements**:

- Proven working experience as a Designer preferably in knitwear and loungewear.
- Excellent Illustrator and Photoshop skills
- Proven experience of print design
- A good technical knowledge of garment construction, fit and fabric.
- Good eye for colour, detail and styling
- An enthusiastic and adaptable approach
- Highly organised
- Strong communication skills
