**Lead Generator/Telemarketer**

**Based in Braintree**

**Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm (flexitime offered)**

**Salary £20,000 - £25,000 + Comms**

We are working on behalf of our client, an independent Insurance broker based in Braintree, Essex who are looking for the next generation of insurance professionals to join their team.

As a successful member of the team you will be required to have a deep knowledge of the cold outreach process and have the patience and ability to develop and strengthen your pipeline over time, nurturing your relationships with the end goal of getting a commitment of a conversation with the director or a member of the broking team.

The role suits an individual who wants to be rewarded for extra ordinary performance and results, a self starter with a strong mind set and desire to succeed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cold call businesses that fit our target client profile
- Produce/ follow a 'routine' to take a prospect from cold to wanting us to review their insurance programme
- Adjust and modify your 'script' or 'routine' to meet the needs to a particular business Obtain customer information and update CRM
- Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet the prospect
- Take pride in self development by studying cold call experts to maximise results

**Skills required**:

- Proven experience and track record of appointment setting
- An understanding of your own metrics to dates in terms of number of calls vs number of appointments
- Experience and track record of cold outreach, specifically over the phone First class communication skills
- Ability to handle rejection and rudeness with a cool head Ability to turn rejection into commitment
- Experience in cold outreach within the insurance industry an advantage Proficient on Microsoft programmes
- Results driven

Due to location, own transport is essential.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
