**Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator**

Thistleknowe Care Home is looking to source an Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator.

The care home is situated in the Beith, North Ayrshire and provides care to 15 older adults in a homely environment.

As Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will work closely with the Management Team to plan and implement activities appropriate to the residents needs and requests.

Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator:

- £10.50 per hour
- 18 hours per week over 5 days predominantly between 1pm and 4.30pm but flexibility is required (Including every second weekend or flexibility to fit with local community events)
- 5.6 weeks annual leave
- Full Driving Licence and own transport essential
- PVG Required

As an Activities and Wellbeing Co-ordinator your role is to help our residents to socialise within and outside the Care home and provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes. You will be responsible for planning and initiating monthly rolling/individual programmes and encourage residents to maintain pre-existing hobbies.

You will also encourage staff members, relatives, and friends to participate in the care homes activities. All of which helps to create a positive atmosphere. You will plan activities to be carried out on your days off.

You will also need to maintain full and accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documents.

As an Activities Coordinator you will require the following experience and skills:

- Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events/activities.
- Friendly, creative, and confident.
- Genuine interest in working with the elderly.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Confident team player.
- Ability to work on own initiative.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
