Housing Options Officer

**Remuneration**:£17.12 to £18.53 Per Hour
As a Housing Options Officer, you'll provide essential housing advice, manage waiting lists, and address homelessness within the legal framework, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities include offering advice and support, adhering to policies, collaborating with colleagues, maintaining housing policies, conducting visits and outreach, staying updated on laws, assisting at-risk individuals, making housing decisions, managing temporary accommodation, coordinating with housing associations, supporting projects, conducting assessments, handling correspondence, and participating in training.
**Requirements**:
Essential:
- Strong educational background including proficiency in English and Maths.
- Experience in customer-oriented environments.
- Knowledge of Homelessness and Housing legislation.
- Excellent administrative and computer skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the social housing sector.
- Understanding of welfare benefits and housing law.
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and report writing.
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
- Understanding of equal opportunity principles.
Special Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and daily vehicle access.
- Availability for evening meetings and emergencies.
