Volunteer Treasurer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Treasurer, just for 1 - 2 hours per week to oversee the financial activities of our Charity. The Treasurer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation.
- Oversee the organization's financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting best practices.
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Xero.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure the organization's financial health.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the organization's leadership team.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, corporate accounting, and technical accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and general ledger accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information.
