**The difference our new Buyer will make**
As a Buyer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We’re looking for someone dynamic, ambitious and eager to make an impact to join our team as a Buyer within the Supply Chain and Procurement team.

Day to day, you’ll acquire goods and/or services for the company at the best total acquisition cost, complete pro-active supplier order book management activities and associated reporting, identify value opportunities and levers, manage and develop supplier relationships including supplier visits and prepare, issue and review supplier RFQ's recommending preferred options to the relevant stakeholders.

**Essential experience**
- Be willing to work towards membership of a relevant professional body, for example the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply at a Level 4 or above or equivalent business related qualification
- Proven experience within a supply chain role, preferably in a defence or engineering environment
- You have knowledge of commercial business practices and proven communication skills, both verbally and written
- BPSS but must be able to qualify for SC clearance
