AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Process & Governance Specialist to join our growing team.

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

**Salary**: £60,000 - £75,000 based on experience.

Sitting in the Supply Chain Management (“SCM”) function, you will be supporting the team by developing and launching policies, processes, and procedures, providing governance direction to the function and wider business, and further developing SCM’s Risk and Compliance programme.

This is a varied and exciting role, with visibility across AWE at a senior level, to support the SCM function deliver a vast programme at an exciting time of change for the public sector.

What will you be responsible for?
- Developing new & existing management arrangements, processes, and ways of working in line with changes to public procurement regulations
- Working with internal & external stakeholders to develop and implement policies through the SCM function and wider business, ensuring communication, transparency and stakeholder support is maintained throughout
- Supporting the function on public sector initiatives and requests
- Developing and revising SCM’s governance arrangements
- Assisting in demonstrating & informing SCM’s risk and compliance arrangements to external stakeholders
- Helping to develop a framework within AWE to best identify external and internal opportunities, whilst driving continued awareness and understanding of value for money.

To be successful in this role we would like you to have technical expertise in one or more of the following specialisms:

- Practical experience of developing and launching process & governance arrangements, ideally within the public sector
- Experience working in a supply chain or commercial function within a highly regulated environment. MCIPS would be beneficial
- A track record of leading on regulated tender activity, or a demonstrable understanding of the support required
- Experience of working in a complex environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders, with examples of leading process or governance activity to a successful outcome
- A good understanding of the principles and practicalities of the public procurement regulations, from either a customer or supplier perspective
