Sessional Children

Hours required - min 6, max 16 counselling sessions a week

We are looking for qualified counsellors with relevant experience to join our Time for You team to support our service in the Sandwell and Dudley area delivering both contract and self-referral work.
You will provide one-to-one counselling and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 7-18 who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties including emotional distress, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, as well as the effects of family change, bereavement, bullying and online life. The age of the client group will be dependent on your qualifications, training and experience.
Posts are for a minimum of 6 and maximum of 16 sessions per week. Hours and regular session times will be agreed. They will include a combination of day, after school, early evening and/or Saturday morning working. Supervision must be attended and mandatory training completed.
Work will be a mix of face to face and remote working and initially may be home based with sessions delivered by webcam or phone. This will be discussed with each post holder individually. Face-to-face sessions will be at our base in Oldbury or within community or school settings in the Sandwell or Dudley area, as agreed.
