Warehouse Personnel

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established family-run business that supplies dairy, fruit & veg, and frozen products to catering businesses within the Dorset and surrounding areas.
- **Job Purposes**:_

Our warehouse team ensure deliveries of goods in are received, checked and stored correctly in preparation for our evening picking team. That the warehouse is maintained in a clean and tidy fashion.
- **General Duties**:_
- The checking of goods in correctly according to the Company Procedure.
- To store goods according to company procedures maintaining FIFO (First in First Out).
- Ensure all food safety criteria are met at each stage of goods-in and storage.
- Completion of Company paperwork at the correct time, ensuring it is accurate & legible.
- To raise any non-conformances as soon as they are discovered to the appropriate line manager to enable swift corrective action.
- Follow company procedures for temperature control.
- Follow company procedures for non-conforming products.
- Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties according to cleaning schedules.
- Responsible for correct use and general maintenance of equipment used for work duties.
- Comply with all company rules and regulations associated with work duties.
- Take a proactive approach to solving issues within the warehouse.
- Wear company supplied uniform at all times and ensure a clean and tidy appearance.
- **Essentials / Desirables**:_
- Able to work on own initiative and within a team
- Physically fit, the role will require manual lifting and long periods on their feet.
- You will be working at times in a cold climate, chillers & freezers and outside.
- Knowledge of wholesale/catering would be an advantage but not essential.
- Current forklift license is beneficial but again not essential.
- **Hours of work**:_

5 days out of 6 on a rota basis (no Sundays) to include bank holidays.

37.5 hours a week, working either 5am to 1pm, or 6am to 2pm.
