Lead Midwife

As Lead Midwife, you will provide senior clinical leadership to support ongoing maternity and neonatal transformation programmes and oversight to the safety and quality agenda in the Local Maternity and Neonatal Service (LMNS). The role combines a strong leadership approach to quality and safety and will be required to understand and contribute to informing local and regional strategies in relation to maternity and neonatal care. The Lead Midwife Lead will be a member of the clinical leadership team of Dorset ICB, able to act autonomously and with authority and will be required to deputise for senior clinical leaders in matters related to the maternity and neonatal services. The role is part of an ambitious, multi-professional team working collaboratively with service users to ensure that all women, birthing people and their families have access to consistent, safe, personalised and equitable care.
