A good school in Abbey Wood are looking for an experienced teacher to join their school immediately or in January to teach one of their reception classes.

The Role
In this role you will be taking over the reception class of 30 pupils for the rest of the academic year. Pupils have settled well into school but need a caring and nurturing teacher with previous reception teaching experience to take them through the restof the year.You will be leading play based learning activities both in the classroom and in outdoor learning environments. The main focus will be on phonics and early maths. You will be working with an established team of teachers, support staff and leaders.Observation and assessment recording is standardised so all staff are able to complete this. The school are looking for a teacher with good experience in EYFS, with a calm and focussed approach to teaching.

The school is part of a federation of schools across the borough of Greenwich. The school which you will based in is located close mainland rail stations with local bus links. As a 2 form entry site, teachers and teaching assistants within the year groupwork closely together in planning and assessment for their respective year groups. The school is popular within the local community and there is a culture of working closely with parents. They have a focus on closing the gap for disadvantaged pupils and providea broad range of extra-curriculum opportunities.
