Our client is an established CQC-rated provider of care and support for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours of concern in Yorkshire, Humber and Derbyshire.

**Job Title**: HR Advisor

**Role’s Purpose**:Our client is looking for a team member to lead Employee Relations across the organisation.

**Salary**: Circa £32,000 per annum

**Reports to**: Head of HR

**Accountable for**: HR Administrator

**Working Hours and Days**: Full time (40-hour contract per week), Monday to Friday

**Location**: York, YO1 7DT - The contracted place of work will be York.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**
- Line Management: Line management duties of the HR Administrator
- Strategy & Business Growth: Contribute to the overall HR strategy where required
- Accountability & Budget:Participate in the preparation of the annual people budget. Align culture and wellbeing activity to people budget
- Representation: Be the champion for their people, culture and values across the organisation. Embed theircompany values throughout HR
- Reporting: Submit ER Section for Board Report. Produce and analyse relevant HR data
- General Enquiries: Support the team with general employment enquiries e.g., pay bands, policy, and new starter information
- Note: Note taking for formal meetings when required

**Routine HR Administration**
- Correspondence & Coordination: Review and approve formal written correspondence relating to ER. Reference responses. Proof of employment correspondence. Pay band change correspondence. Termination correspondence. Disciplinary/Flexible working/Appeal outcome correspondence. Transfer of service correspondence. Furlough correspondence. Disciplinary invite correspondence and diary coordination. Prepare Letters of Concern. Suspension correspondence.Consultation correspondence
- Record Keeping: Prepare and review the annual Holiday Matrix. Review and advise on evenly distributed holiday accrued. Compile and review compliance data for HR Clinics. Update ER tracker. Update relevant spreadsheets with up-to-date information for analysis
- Audits: Audit HR documentation for completion and quality content. Follow up missing information identified from audit
- HR Strategy: Contribute to relevant sections of the HR Strategy. Support the implementation of projects within the HR Strategy

**Strategy**
- Initiatives: Support initiatives with reducing team turnover, retention, employee engagement. Build on reputation and employee brand & culture
- Improvements & Efficiencies: Look to continuously improve HR processes. Undertake a variety of HR analysis tasks and implement changes and improvements from the results of this analysis
- Digitalisation: Identify and coordinate the implementation and continued improvement to digitalised HR processes

**Recruitment and Onboarding**
- Resourcing: Actively overcome team shortages/resourcing needs

**Employee Relations**
- Formal and Informal Meetings: Lead on Investigation & Disciplinary Policy and process company-wide minute investigations, and disciplinary meetings where required. Minute Ad hoc meetings where required. Support operational teams with formal meeting delivery and relevant documentation. Coaching and guiding management on formal and informal meeting delivery. Produce and deliver relevant formal and informal meeting technique workshops. Conduct Mediation. Conduct Flexible Working. Request meeting in collaboration with Locality Manager. Ensure HR policy and processes are adhered to, provide guidance on policy and process. Provide guidance on relevant employment law and risk management to formal procedure. Seek legal advice from an external indemnity insurance company for complex cases of ER
- HR Documentation: Support with end of probation termination of employment. Guide Line Managers with annual performance reviews, probationary reviews, performance improvement plans and other personnel meetings. Subject Access Requests. Reduction of documentation where necessary. Preparation of Performance Improvement Plans. Update HR documentation as required. Complete Service Visit Report where required. Lead TUPE process. Lead redundancy process. Lead consultations. Lead on performance management company-wide including analysis of performance progress
- Employee Benefits & Satisfaction: Support the planning and delivery of celebration and team events
- Employment Law: Have an overview of employment law changes, support the implementation of any changes. Keep up to date with HR in the H&SC Sector, attend webinars as required. Monitor and report risk

**Training and Coaching**
- Course Creation & Delivery: Create and deliver relevant HR based workshops
- Coaching: Drive development for managers through coaching

**Ad hoc**
- Deputisation: Deputise for the role above and below where required
- Ad Hoc Duties: Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head of HR

**Eligibility Requirements**:

- Requires CIPD Level 5
- Requires experience
