We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who will take over the kitchen franchise at The Bromley Sports Club, Plaistow Lane, Bromley BR

The Club is a tennis, squash and cricket club and has had a kitchen associated with it for many years.

We now want it taken to a new level of activity and want to work with someone who has the skill and desire to make a success of their own small business.

The business will need to be built up and it is currently busier in the summer than in the winter.

In total there are over 1200 members, and we are aiming to increase this on a year-by-year basis.

In addition the Club coaches over 300 junior cricketers, around 300 Junior tennis players, 40 junior squash players and we run 10 weeks of holiday camps a year.

We hire out our facilities for wakes and Saturday evening functions and along with our team teas and Thursday evening dinners we want to do a lot more. There is already an established business, but this will be ending Mid-September.

Our plan is to incorporate lunches into all our holiday programmes which means 30 to 60 lunches a day during 8 weeks of the summer and during half terms and Easter holidays.

We want to grow the business by offering a menu at affordable prices to our members on a more regular basis.

The person will have exclusivity so no other person can provide food at the club.

We would expect the person to be able to provide appropriate food for
- Functions
- Weddings
- Wakes
- Adult 2 or 3 course meals
- Team teas for squash and tennis - limited for cricket. At Team prices
- Children's lunches for holiday programmes.
- Thursday evening club meals
- General meals at agreed opening times.

This is a business to be built up. The Club will charge the franchisee ten per cent plus VAT - Total of 12% in total of turnover. The club collects the money for the food and pays the caterer on a weekly basis.

The opening ours will be agreed between the club and the franchisee.

The person we are looking for must:

- Have Experience
- Be passionate about food and running their own small business.
- Be able to provide a good variety of tasty and popular foods for both adults and children.
- Be a good people person as they will be talking to customers directly.
- Be a good administrator and be prepared to respond quickly to enquiries.
- Be able to provide food for functions as well as individuals.
- Be reliable with very good time keeping.
- Understand stock control, limit waste and be able to keep kitchen stocked appropriately.
- Be able to get additional staff and pay them where needed.
- Understand and comply with all health and safety legislation.

We will allow the kitchen to be used for external events catered for by the franchisees own existing business or developing business, but the club will require its percentage of the income derived.

The Club provides all the equipment and maintenance of the equipment along with the gas and electricity used. It is the percentage it charges the franchisee that pays for this.

Cleaning the kitchen and equipment, including oven, is down to the franchisee.

The Club will contribute 50% to an annual deep cleaning of the kitchen and oven. This to be done by an external recognised company.
