**About the Role**

Reporting to our HR Manager, the role will be responsible for the provision of all aspects of HR administrative support.

Main responsibilities include:

- Responsible for updating and maintaining employee records ensuring the accuracy of the information.
- Assisting the wider HR team with recruitment activities and recruitment administration.
- Supporting the set-up of onboarding and induction programmes including managing our pre-employment screening process for new starters
- Supporting the HR Manager with all generalist HR processes and procedures including maternity and paternity requests and starters and leavers.
- Maintaining paperwork and preparing reports relating to HR activities.
- Preparation of letters including but not limited to disciplinary and grievance outcomes and colleague reference requests.
- Provision of general administrative tasks.
- Focus on simple, clear processes for the business to follow.
- Involvement in HR projects as appropriate.
- Always maintain excellent filing procedures, with key focus on data accuracy and adherence to policies.
- To maintain knowledge of statutory employment legislation.

The role will be based from our Jarrow office, covering our standard working hours of Monday to Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm, and Friday: 9:00am-3:00pm with no evenings, no weekends, and an early finish every Friday.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Highly skilled multitasker: can prioritise own workload calmly, effectively, working within tight timeframes adapting to ever changing demands.
- Resilient, flexible and pro-active with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with directors, senior managers and other stakeholders from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.
- Experience in using all Microsoft Office products in particular Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities with the ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.

**Salary**: £23,400.00-£25,000.00 per year
