Housekeeper and Laundry

Job Title: Cleaner

1. To clean the public rooms, corridors, stairs and bathrooms according to the rota.

2. To clean resident’s rooms and en-suites according to the rota, while respecting residents individual choice, needs and minding their personal belongings.

3. To be aware of Health & Safety COSHH, Moving & Handling regulations at all times.

4. To attend Fire Drills and be aware of other emergency procedure.

5. To maintain cleaning stock levels and liasise with other cleaning staff to replenish supplies of toilet rolls, paper towels etc.

6. To report damages, breakages and any safety matters to your Line Manager and record them in the appropriate book.

7. To report to the Manager any resident problems that come to your notice.

8. To assist the care staff at lunchtimes - should your cleaning duties permit. This will include washing up, loading and emptying the dishwasher.

9. To be aware of and deal with any cleaning matter that occurs during your duty times, even if not on the rota.

10. To generally maintain any cleaning equipment, e.g. vacuum sweeper. To ensure that all equipment is used and stored in a safe manner and kept in a clean condition.

11. Use of carpet shampooing machine according to rota and when requested by housekeeper/manager.

12. To use all cleaning materials and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and departmental procedures, storing safely when not in use.

13. Any other duties as requested by the Manager.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

- housekeeping: 1 year (preferred)
