**About the role**
Balfour Beatty is looking for a talented **Health & Safety **Advisor **to join our Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) team on our North West and Central region (based in Crewe or Aston). This role will see you providing guidance, support, advice and monitoring on Health and Safety (H&S) to ensure compliance with the Balfour Beatty HSES integrated Business Management System (BMS), Legislation, BSI requirements and client standards.

**What you'll be doing**
- Ensure the project is compliant with all H&S Regulations, Company Policies and the BMS.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Zero Harm & Sustainability Action Plan.
- Undertake planned & unplanned inspections, audits and joint tours.
- Produce formal reports on findings and communicate these to the project.
- Accurately record & review local H&S event data.
- Support the H&S upskilling and development of the business operational teams & deliver on-going approved H&S Awareness Training to meet project and business needs & support the delivery of briefings & toolbox talks.
- Actively provide support and guidance to the supply chain & subcontractors.
- Assist in the compilation of risk assessments and written safe systems of work.
- text-align: justify;">Support their Project/Business area during near miss/incident/accident investigations and ensure lessons learned are effectively communicated across the Project /Business area.
- Engage with the workforce and encourage site safe behaviours.
- Support the local & external audit programme across their Project /Business area

**Who we're looking for**
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate / NEBOSH Diploma or working towards.
- Proven H&S experience within a construction / engineering environment.
- Good communicator with influencing and persuasion skills
- Good interpersonal skills and team player
- Incident investigator/fact finder & accurate record keeping
- Graduate membership of a relevant professional body (IOSH/IEMA) or working towards
