**Job Purpose**:
Ensure food produced is safe, legal, wholesome in line with all legal requirements and customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- To Supervise the day-to-day Technical Operations on the site i.e. Paperwork audit, Microbiological sampling.
- To liaise with Production and Engineering to ensure Food Safety is achieved at all times.
- Using established audit procedures to verify the HACCP and key elements of the quality system are being implemented correctly
- Ensures the company’s quality manual remains relevant by controlling and collating any additions and amendments made to it.
- Assists in the preparation, amendment and cataloguing or product and raw materials specifications for all new or current products using information gathered from the NPD, Commercial and Production.
- Ensures quality standards are met by overseeing procedures, policies and standards, stated in the quality manual, are correct and applied.
- Minimises the number of accidents and ensures compliance to statutory requirements by monitoring and reviewing of GMP with relevance to both Food Safety and Health and Safety.
- To help ensure that products are made to Customer Specifications
- To manage the day to day operation of the DAF Unit for essential waste water treatment
- Any other reasonable duties as directed from the Site Technical Manager.
