**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
Contract: 30 hours per week across 5 days, Mon - Sat, with the occasional Sunday in line with show performance schedule

Theatre Royal Plymouth has a busy and fast paced hospitality offering set in a contemporary environment in a key City location. With an exciting range of performances on the horizon, we are looking for a Greenroom cook to assist our Lead Cook in the provision of hot and cold food offer for our performers, staff and visiting patrons.
You will assist the Lead Cook in the preparation and the smooth running of food production and service whilst maintaining excellent Food Hygiene and Safety standards at Theatre Royal Plymouth.
This is a permanent position of 30 hours per week, consisting of 6 hour shifts 5 days out of 7. There will be the expectation that this rises to 40 hours per week to cover annual leave and sickness, therefore flexibility is a must. The usual hours of work will be anytime between 9am - 9pm, and may vary day to day but this will be agreed ahead of time on a rota basis. This role may involve occasional work at our TR2 Production and Learning Centre in Cattedown.

The Role
Here is an overview of what you will be doing:
- Preparation and cooking of dishes for service to our visiting companies, staff and patrons.
- The smooth running of a food service from our back of house Green Room
- Cover for Lead Cook whilst on annual leave.
- Assist lead cook in preparation of dishes for corporate events.
- Helps to organise, check and maintain work areas, coolers and storage for cleanliness, quality and quantity of food products.
- Assist the kitchen assistant with dishes and maintaining cleanliness of equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and workstations during preparation and service
- Preparing, portioning & maintaining high standards in food storage
- Brings a strong awareness of importance of hygiene and safety.
- Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH
- Receiving of deliveries, safe storage, and stock rotation.
- Helps to ensure the quality of the brand through standards of preparation, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Accurate EPOS operation and reconciliation
