The Liberty Global Mobile & Cloud team is responsible for driving structured technology strategy assessments, and implementing recommended outcomes, across mobile and cloud, working across and representing Liberty's OpCos and Partner Markets.

This includes new, tactical technology evolutions, as well as disruptive or transformative strategic initiatives. This role sits in a team that operates at the heart of Liberty Global and is accountable for defining the technical strategy and roadmaps we need to challenge and grow as an organisation.

You will be part of a small, dynamic team that will be counting on your contribution. This role provides significant senior exposure and presents many professional development opportunities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role will be focused on understanding next generation mobile technology evolutions and defining roadmaps for adoption and acceleration across the business.- Support the collaborative definition of the network architecture Mobile networks, with both OpCos and vendors to agree a clear and understandable network forward looking architecture and evolution roadmap- Propose and drive architectural changes to ensure meeting target Capex and Opex economics and cost reduction envelopes- First point of technical contact for mobile M&A / corporate transformation opportunities e.g. Wholesale scenarios, Asset separation, integration of any M&A-acquired network assets, and partnership opportunities- Work with Product teams to validate product roadmap vs technology roadmap- Work with ventures team and Innovations team to conceive and drive related trials and proof of concepts where necessary- Major technical expert project support in to drive conclusions and recommendations that can underpin future mobile technology and monetisation choices- Deliver next generation mobile technology education to relevant stakeholders to help them understand technology options available to support in mid to long term planning

Success in the role will enable the department to deliver outcomes and deliverables of a high quality that encourage trust and builds a reputation for excellence

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:- Strong understanding of the economics associated with mobile architectures- Solid experience in leading and delivering projects to senior stakeholders- An objective, critical and strategic thinker, with experience within the mobile industry- Comfortable handling the complexity associated with addressing the needs of multiple affiliate countries, partners and commercial relationships- Ability to work across the business to capture business-critical objectives & translate to architectural and technical strategies or impacts- Ability to prioritise business needs based upon strategic importance and contribution to financial thesis- Able to cope with pressure and demanding timescales without comprising quality and integrity- Strong interpersonal and engagement skills, ability to build strong productive relationships with stakeholders across the business and be credible at all levels of the organisation

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong academics demonstrating intellectual curiosity and problem solving in complex environments-
- Ideally a Masters or further qualification in relevant area
