**Job Purpose/Overview**
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate & Community Affairs team, which delivers a programme of stakeholder engagement and communications activities to a wide range of external stakeholders. This role is responsible for overseeing NATS' CommunityInvestment Strategy, coordinating the company's Responsible Business activities and initiating and managing relationships with corporate charities and partners.
**Other duties include**:

- Oversee the NATS Community Investment Strategy, supporting a viable and long-term approach to create a more positive impact to our business and local communities.
- Lead and co-ordinate the company's Responsible Business activities, driving a cohesive approach that tracks and monitors efforts, resulting in comprehensive annual Responsible Business report.
- Manage NATS' charitable initiatives such as the Footprint Fund, Give As You Earn scheme, Volunteering and Business in the Community (BITC) membership.
- Act as a focal point, fostering and developing relationships with internal 'ambassadors' (employees throughout NATS, at multiple sites, who are involved in and who drive charitable activities) ensuring an aligned and coordinated approach.
- Lead NATS' engagement with local community charitable activities, including support of local charitable organisations and organising related events, aligning with the company's overall community and charity strategy.
- Working on cross-discipline campaigns on behalf of the wider Communications team and leading campaigns when required.
- Create compelling content for external publication, including blog posts, features and press releases and help develop mainstream and social media coverage to support activities.
- Act as core member of 24/7 Duty Press Officer roster and crisis response team.

**Essential skills and experience**:

- Significant experience working in a charitable and/or corporate communications role.
- A broad understanding of the benefits of responsible business and community investment to help new and existing charitable partnerships.
- Good organisational skills, able to coordinate and manage multiple activities concurrently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, writing and editorial skills that can be adapted to different formats and audiences.
- Knowledge of social media tools and how and when to use them.
- Able to work at both strategic and tactical levels with strong attention to detail and an appetite to raise the bar.
- Proactive and able to take the initiative.
- Able to tailor solutions to meet non-standard business issues.
- Confident networking skills, including media relationship building and excellent team working skills.
