**Sales Administrator**
**Salary**: £19,000 to £22,000 per annum
Contract: 37.5 hours/week, permanent, based in Littlehampton, West Sussex
**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Sales Team Manager. To provide administrative support to the Sales Team and to generally contribute to the smooth running of the office. To learn the company's sales processes and develop within the team.
**Principle Duties and Accountabilities for the Sales Administrator**:
The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:
- General support such as answering the phone, taking details of enquiries and filing
- Learning our product base sufficiently to answer customer queries
- Assisting the Sales department with administrative duties such as entering new prospect clients, quotations and purchase orders into the company's electronic system, sourcing product and transport rates from suppliers
- Assisting in the performance of the contract administration process by managing the associated documentation
- Ordering materials as required and raising the associated purchase orders to ensure each job is invoiced accordingly
- Updating data on spreadsheets
- Working with our hire & sales electronic systems
- Communicating with suppliers, clients and subcontractors regarding queries and requests
- Documenting significant events, including logging complaints
- Maintaining appropriate records
- Liaising with other departments on any issues arising
**Level of Knowledge and Experience for the Sales Administrator:
**Experience of working in an office environment essential**
**Experience of computerised systems desirable**
**MS Office experience is essential
- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to gain trust and respect of team members and customers in order to develop relationships
- The ability to gain knowledge of the company's products and services
- The ability to work well on your own and as part of a team
- Excellent telephone manner
- Conscientious, customer focused and able to prioritise workloads.
- The ability to pay attention to detail
- Good numerical skills
