**Training Solar PV Installer -** all applicants must be 19+ years due to health and safety regulations.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to make a positive impact on the environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Training Solar PV Installer.
- You will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience installing Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems, helping you develop the skills necessary to become a successful Solar PV Installer.
- We are a main contractor within Social Housing and we’re working together towards our goal of Net Zero 2050.
- You will learn all different types of solar PV installations i.e. Roof Solar, Mounted Solar, Ground Mount Systems, Flat Mounted Systems and Tin Sheet Roof Systems.
- Not only will you learn the skills to install Solar PV, you will also work and train closely with other trades in our organisation, giving you the opportunity to learn the basics in plastering, tiling, electrical, roofing and joinery.
- You will be expected to work on all types of roofs, and working at height is a major part of this role. _Please think carefully whether working at roof height is right for you._

**Specifics**:

- Work will be located in the North East. Majority of work is in South Northumberland, Blyth and Seaton Delaval area.
- Non Drivers - Make way to Head Office in North Shields unless getting to site each day is easier. Dependent on where they live, some lifts to work could be arranged.
- Drivers - Make own way to Head Office to be given a van. Will be given a fuel card (age for insurance is not an issue).
- Full Time, 38hrs per week, 8.30-4.30pm Monday - Friday
- Training wage at £10phr, increased in increments over 3 years up to £32,000 based on performance.

- Will be put through a PV and Solar Course, Advanced Working at Height and IPaf. The NVQ is still in development for Solar PV - Once it is ready you will be put through the relevant qualification.

**Some knowledge of construction and site working practices would be advantageous, although not essential. Must be keen and willing to work at height.**

**Salary**: £10.00-£16.00 per hour
