**Who Are We**

We are the Motorpoint Arena & National Ice Centre, Nottingham. The largest entertainment venue in the East Midlands with a crowd capacity of 10,000. Showcasing the biggest names in music, comedy, entertainment and sport, we host over 100 events and welcome 800,000+ visitors through our doors each year. Home to the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey Team, where they play 30+ home league & cups games each season.

**Spotlight Restaurant F & B Assistants**

We are looking for driven and passionate people to join our Food & Beverage team as a F & B assistant based in our Spotlight restaurant.

Located on the 4th floor of the Motorpoint Arena, the Spotlight Restaurant offers pre-show dining to our Hospitality Package guests on event days. On non-event days the restaurant plays host to a wide-range of private bookings such as breakfast meetings, conferences, company away days, wedding receptions & parties for many occasions.

Working with the Restaurant & Conference Manager and the Spotlight Supervisors you will ensure that whatever the event, you offer excellent customer service.

**Key Duties Include**:
Greeting guests & showing them to their table

Being able to understand the food & drink menus and be able to advise guests

To carry out order taking including the use of written orders and/or electronic methods and obtaining payments either through cash or card for these orders

Follow company & statutory best practices in regards to health & safety, food safety & fire safety

Maximising sales and ensuring that customer choice & value is enhanced by offering upsell products & promotions

Resetting the tables & ensuring that all crockery, cutlery & glassware is washed and polished and ready for the next event

**Requirements**:
Experience in working in a high-volume catering operation or restaurant setting

Excellent communication skills, both written & verbally

Previous experience of using a till and taking cash & card payments is preferred

Understanding of the responsibilities of responsible alcohol sales & Challenge 21
