**Job Summary**:

- You will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team providing support in a very busy medical centre, providing support to patients and clinicians, and always demonstrating a professional disposition.
- Document management-ensuring that all incoming and outgoing documents are processed and scanned or forwarded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Receiving calls and assisting with direct face to face patient enquiries whilst always maintaining a professional and courteous approach.
- To ensure reception and administration duties and responsibilities within the Practice are carried out accurately and in a timely fashion, adhering to the policies and protocols
- You will be required to undergo a thorough DBS check
- To work flexibly to meet the business needs
- The practice team will be responsible for your training and support.

**Job Responsibilities will include**:

- Opening and closing of building
- Care Navigation of patients
- Provide front of house service to patients using SystmOne to book appointments.
- The opening and distribution of internal and external post, requests for prescriptions; dealing with queries
- Contacting patients to arrange appointments.
- To record administration events within patient records
- Handling specimens and ensuring the appropriate forms have been completed accurately
- To deal with telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others and taking messages accurately and within a timely manner.
- Document management
- Scanning and forwarding clinical letters
- Processing medication requests.
- To arrange ambulances and patient transport as required
- Other duties as required.

- The post holder will demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and will strictly adhere to Practice safeguarding policies and procedures.

**Confidentiality**:

- Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

- To promote and maintaining their own and others’ health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health & Safety Policy.

**Salary**: £10.92-£11.22 per hour
