**Job Title: Religious Worker / Temple Assistant**

Coventry Eelakanthan Thirukkovil requires a Religious Worker/Temple Assistant, who come from traditional Srilankan/South Indian Priestly order, Brahmin lineage of priesthood, must have undergone training under reputable Saiva Hindu Organisation, Applicants must have extensive previous proven experience, must be a strict vegetarian. To contribute to organisation growth through the quality service to ensure the spiritual needs of the devotees. You must have received the required special religious coordination and training to conduct and assist all the Hindu (Saiva) religious duties. This post is only for a period of 2 years.

Job description
- Able to conduct Poojas in Shaivite traditions.
- Assisting the temple priest to perform the Pooja/Religious rites and duties on a daily basis.
- Decorate the Deities on a daily basis and special decorations during auspicious days.
- Proven experience in making flower garland, decorating the deities and preparing Holy foods for rituals offerings.
- Assist the temple priest in reciting Hindu Religious songs and bhajans in Tamil.
- Assist the temple priest in other day to day activities of the temple.
- Must be able to effectively and knowledgeably serve Hindu temple and community's worship service needs.
- Applicant must be Tamil speaking and practicing Hinduism.
- It is essential that applicant must have previous experience in working as a religious worker in temple.
