We’re recruiting a Progression Assistant to join our amazing National Careers Service team.

As a Progression Assistant you’ll work with participants to understand the barriers they face to gaining employment, improving their skills, or progressing within their careers through tailored support and interventions. You’ll be a motivational adviser who can build positive relationships, guide, inspire, challenge, encourage and help individuals create and sustain employment and learning opportunities. You’ll have an understanding of specialist signposting services in the local area/region, building knowledge in areas such as priority sectors, SEND, NEETS, and over 50’s.

We’re not looking for someone who ticks every box, just so long as you have an engaging personality, are comfortable working with a diverse group of people, and can provide a warm and welcoming experience to help our participants in their first steps back into employment.

We need your skills to empower and encourage participants to create a career skills action plan and support them in their learning and development whilst monitoring their progress to build their confidence throughout their journey to success.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contacting National Careers Service customers via telephone and digital means to see if they have gained an employment or learning outcome
- Promote Seetec Pluss values and interests at national and regional forums.
- Meet, and strive to exceed, personal performance targets (Key Performance Indicators) relating to number of customers supported into employment, learning or career progression.
- Actively promote the National Careers Service and related projects/products, to increase public awareness of service and champion the importance of careers guidance for all

**Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**
- A good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e., Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business
- Experience of working in a target driven environment
- A suitable home working environment

**Desirable**
- Full driving license
