Our client is looking for an IT Infrastructure and Support Assistant to join the business to support the growth and development of the IT service and provisions required.
**What you will do**:

**Job Purpose**
To provide efficient and effective IT services and support to the organization. To undertake administration, support, and monitoring of the ICT network, hardware, and software resources; including installation, maintenance, availability, and security to support the operation requirements of the business.
- A dynamic environment - based in Princes Risborough (office based for year 1, then hybrid)
- Has, or is in progress of an NQF Level 3, or is willing to work towards an NQF Level 3
- Work alongside the IT Manager whilst learning all aspects of the role.
- Be the lead with the development of Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administration and maintenance of server hardware and software systems, including directory services, operating systems, and database systems.
- Administration and maintenance of the company network, including switches and Wi-Fi access points.
- Deal with enquiries, tickets logged on the service desk and to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and internal/external personnel
- Assigning and revoking company equipment including laptops and smart phones.
- To ensure accurate record keeping using IT systems
- To work in line with ‘best practice’ ensuring compliance to relevant policies
- To maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Assist in general administration and support
- Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards work, team member, colleagues and other persons
- **Genuine interest in IT as a career, and be willing to complete Microsoft Certification with the assistance and encouragement of your Manager**:
- Confident & professional telephone manner
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
- Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Good numerical and analytical skills, including experience with spreadsheets and computer-based systems, including Microsoft products.
- Ability to learn an ERP / manufacturing system and back up the IT Manager when needed
- Previous similar IT support experience would be ideal but not essential
**Based onsite in Princes Risborough so would suit a South Bucks resident. The office is based a 10 minute walk from the train station.
