Porter

MPA Recruitment are working with WHSCT to recruit a porter for the Omagh area.
- Assist in transportation of patients to and from the various Departments, as required.
- Collection and disposal of refuse and clinical waste and maintenance of waste collection area.
- Collection, sorting and delivery of post as required from departments within the hospital, receipt and distribution of internal and external mail to include special/recorded mail.
- Movement, collection, delivery and distribution of items such as laundry, food trolleys, specimens, bloods, samples, pharmacy goods, medical gasses, general stores and other items throughout the Hospital & Community Facilities in accordance with trust policies and procedures.
- To carry out cleaning duties as directed in line with Trust procedures.
- Removal of the deceased from wards to Mortuary in accordance with Trust procedures.
- To respond immediately to requests for assistance from patients, staff or visitors
- Monitor of CCTV cameras in control room and alert relevant personnel of incidents.

Monitoring of car parking to include traffic management and issue of parking notices as required.
- Promote and maintain high levels of personal hygiene and safety. Wear protective clothing provided and appropriate footwear and adhere to health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
**- **Available to work on a rota to cover any shift within the 24 hr day over 7 days.

Essential Criteria

Enhanced Access NI through organisation

6 months experience in a switchboard/portering/security/caretaking role

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £10.42-£18.97 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
