Overview
Brook Street (BS) Social Care are currently working alongside the NHS to aid in recruiting for short term contracts, sometimes with the possibility of extension.
You will provide research and service evaluation support to the Information Governance (IG) Department. This will include proposal logging, maintaining a proposal database, facilitating meetings with proposal leads to gain a greater understanding of proposals,privacy notice review, data sharing agreement review, completion of an IG review of the proposal and liaising with the IG Manager where needed. The post-holder will source and provide information, to include report collation and statistics, for the quarterlyInformation Governance and Information Management Group (IGIM) meetings and other stakeholders.
Key Objectives
- Create, update and maintain databases and files regarding requests for training, training compliance, log of Information Sharing Protocols (using Information Asset Register - IAR - where appropriate) and Data Disclosure Agreements (using IAR where appropriate),log of breaches (recorded on Datix and reported to/from the Information Commissioner's Office - ICO), log of research and service evaluation proposal, and a log of booked and completed audits and their scoring.
- Participate in the preparatory work and support when the IG Department or HEIW is audited by Internal Audit and External bodies, e.g. ICO.
- Conduct IG Department audits across the HEIW and provide reports to the IG Manager.
- Conduct IG Due Diligence audits of external suppliers and provide reports to the IG Manager.
- Provide audit figures for IGIM quarterly and Provide recommendations to Departments on improvements necessary.
- Act as first point of contact to give support to Service Delivery Leads on a variety of issues, such as breach identification and management, IAR, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), audit and training, within own levels of knowledge and expertise,referring to the IG Manager(s) when appropriate.
- Provide support to the IG Manager(s) during investigations of IG breaches and follow up actions/audits.
- Assist in producing adequate departmental policy and guidance documentation.
- Update IG Intranet pages regularly to ensure they are current, accurate and relevant.
- The post holder will be required to work to support all functions of the IG department, be flexible, support new developments and prioritise for the department as they arise within the remit of the post.
Training
- Direct staff to the training video or e-learning as appropriate.
- Maintain the IG training database for students, volunteers, external organisation attendees or unidentifiable staff members.
- Use initiative to know when and how to communicate with the Learning and Development Department when appropriate regarding the accuracy of ESR training figures.
- Produce training compliance figures and reports for a variety of recipients, e.g. IGIM.
