Kitchen Porter/kitchen Assistant

The Original Rosslyn Inn is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Help maintain and manage the kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure all food items are stored properly
- Ensure that all equipment is clean, sanitized, and operating as required
- Assist with daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas
- Ensuring that all food items are stored properly in accordance with specific storage procedures
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and residents
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Job description**

The Original Rosslyn Inn is a family run business and has been since 1973. When we were forced to close on March 20th 2020 due to COVID we have reopened with every single member of staff we closed with. Irrespective of experience or role we furloughed the team until we were able to return.

We have an successful established team. We have a team that believes in a positive work environment and culture. Our vision is based around our core values and we all take responsibility and accountability to contribute and maintain these.

The opening we have is in our Kitchen.

The role grows with you. You will start with training and working towards safe operation of equipment and the cleaning and storage of crockery and cutlery. The role would support the chefs during service, do daily checks and complete checklists. The main goal for every team member is to contribute positively.

As you develop you will journey through all the different areas of the kitchen. Everyone moves at different speeds and can excel in different areas. We have the crockery and cutlery, Desserts, Salads, food preparation including cleaning rotas.

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
