A fantastic 1:1 SEN Support role has become available, working with a KS1 child with Down’s Syndrome and additional needs.
** 1:1 SEN Support
** Ofsted ‘Good’ primary school, one-form entry
** Long-term position, starting immediately
** 1:1 SEN Support role, working full-time
** £70 - £80 per day
The 1:1 SEN Support Role:
As 1:1 SEN Support, you will be working closely with a KS1 pupil with high needs SEN, including Down’s Syndrome and communication difficulties. There is no personal care involved in this role, however the pupil does require 1:1 SEN Support throughout the schoolday. You will provide learning support, assisting with differentiating work to match the level of ability of the pupil, and also run sessions including learning through play, and sensory work.
The 1:1 SEN Support Person Specification:
For this 1:1 SEN Support role, you must have experience working with young children with high needs SEN. Experience working with Down’s Syndrome is preferred, but not essential. You should have a Level 3 1:1 SEN Support qualification, or equivalent. It is essentialthat you have a fun, resilient personality, allowing you to engage well with your pupil and build up a rapport, whilst also providing effective support.
