ROLE

The successful CIO Chief Information Officer will be part of the UK based senior leadership team, aligning the internal IT strategy to the company’s goals. Ensuring that the budget is used optimally to provide sustainable business benefits from IT systemsand processes, supporting the rapid business growth in the UK and internationally.
- Gathering business requirements
- Devising the IT strategy and roadmap
- Budget planning, oversight and delivery

Operational:

- People management, directing and growing the team through a high-growth phase
- Coaching, training and development
- Strategic hiring, management of performance
- Internal stakeholder management
- Working closely with the CTO and other department heads
- External stakeholder management
- Supplier management
- Purchasing, negotiation and relationship management.
- In charge of IT Infrastructure, networking, support and systems administration
- Management of IT estate
- Asset management
- Equipment refresh (Including Apple Mac and PC’s)
- Providing IT support to employees
- Oversight of IT projects
- Governance and legal compliance

PERSON

The right person for this role will be able to demonstrate that they relish a challenge and have previously overcome the hurdles that appear during fast growth periods. Career-minded and forward-thinking, with the desire to be part of future technology.

**Experience**:

- Has demonstrable experience as key player in a senior leadership team, reporting to the board.
- Have devised and delivered IT Strategy at comparable UK tech businesses (ideally disruptive SaaS)
- Proven to deliver YOY sustainable business benefits?
- Worked in a fast scaling business with large headcount increase (ideally VC funded tech startup)?
- Programme Management expertise - a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects delivering on time and in budget?
- Have implemented / researched a range of cloud based systems
- Knowledge of a range of hardware including Apple / PC and networking hardware options.
- Driverless vehicle background useful but not necessary
- Cyber security a bonus

REMUNERATION

The CIO Chief Information Officer salary is estimated to be £120k - £140k
