We have a rewarding opportunity available for a **Female Advise Advocate Educator **to join our team based in **Bristol. **You will join us on a **part time**, **fixed term contract **(until May 2024, with potential for extension based on funding)** working **18.5 hours **per week. In and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **of Point 23 (£28,226 per annum, pro rata) per annum plus benefits.**

**About the Female Advise Advocate Educator role**:
We are looking for a highly motivated ADViSE Advocate Educator to liaise closely with sexual health clinics, providing training for clinical and non-clinical staff, and offering emotional and practical support to patients who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. This is a great opportunity for a practitioner who is looking to develop their career further.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Female Advise Advocate Educator**:

- Delivering training to health care professionals about DVA in participating general practices
- Promoting awareness of the experiences and needs of patients living with or escaping DVA,
- Developing a good relationship with all clinical staff and work effectively as part of the practice team
- Further developing effective assessment and monitoring procedures and ensure that clear accurate records are kept
- Providing support to patients experiencing DVA referred by health care clinicians as well as those who self-refer
- Adhering to Next Link’s safeguarding policy and procedures and report all concerns
- Keeping accurate records of all work done with or on behalf of clients and produce written reports as requested

**What we are looking for in our ideal Female Advise Advocate Educator**:

- Experience of working with women and children experiencing domestic abuse
- Experience of promoting services and training to a range of professionals
- An empathetic, non-judgemental and non-directive approach to empowering patients along with the ability to understand the individual needs of patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication to a diverse audience
- Excellent assessment and liaison skills and an understanding of multi-cultural issues.
- A full driving licence and access to transport
