**Job Title**:Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

**Salary**: £34,796 per annum plus company benefits and pension

**Location**:Hatton, Arbroath, DD11 2PJ

**Hours**:40 hours per week

We live in a world that needs to take care of its resources, and our mission at Veolia is to 'Resource the World'. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Mechanical Maintenance Engineer **to join our team in **Hatton, Arbroath, DD11 2PJ.**

At Veolia our Maintenance Engineers work closely with various departments liaising with various members of our teams to ensure maintenance work is carried out safely, promptly and cost effectively, as well as diagnosing, rectifying and maintaining all associatedplant and equipment.

This role will also involve capital delivery and new work implementation. This is an ideal opportunity for progression and career advancement with a forward moving company. This is a multi-skilled position and training will be available to enhance the coreskill of the individual in areas that may require developing. This training will be based on company requirements and will be wide ranging and in depth, in specific areas.

**What will you be doing?**
- Carrying out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance activities) with ability to multi-skill where possible with a proven mechanical bias.
- Planned and reactive maintenance, responsible for the delivery of maintenance activities and schedules in accordance with manufacturers and contractual guidelines.
- Responsible for the collection of field data through the maintenance System to support the maintenance strategy and allow the maintenance planners to make informed decisions based on the condition of the current asset stock.
- Assist operations and maintenance teams where required on major outages and shutdowns.
- Compliance of HSE and Quality Procedures.

**What are we looking for?**
- A proven engineering background within Mechanical maintenance with a recognised Engineering Time Served apprenticeship.
- City & Guilds level 2 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of waste water and/or water processes would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience of working on multi discipline process site(s) with a proven track record of delivering in an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, formal qualifications in health and safety would be advantageous.
- Full driving licence required (essential).
