ESS Recruits client, based in West Lothian, is a Manufacturer of bespoke industrial products and they are currently seeking a Draughtsperson to join a growing team. Typical working hours are 7.00-4.00 Mon-Thurs, 7.00-12.30 Fri but this can be changed to suit you, this is a permanent role and the job can also be performed remotely with the need to come into the office as and when required.

This is a great opportunity to work for a Company who are well established as a market leader in their sector and are in the process of expanding their product range and entering into new markets.

They are looking for a Draughtsperson with strong parametric 3D CAD skills and previous experience with design for manufacture with CAD/CAM CNC machines. The Draughtsperson will be responsible for generating component manufacture drawings and assembly drawings for new product innovations, as well as programming milling machines for component manufacture.

You will need to have strong communication skills as they will need to liaise with subcontract manufacturers, shopfloor personnel and the sales team. You’ll also have to be self-motivated and organised to ensure managing of changing priorities and deadlines.

Although you can work remote at times in this role please note some onsite work will be required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Improving the manufacturability of all existing parts
- Liaising with subcontract manufacturers to resolve issues with new part designs
- Design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures for new products
- Develop and maintain supporting documentation for milling machine operators
- Generating machining programs for internal CNC milling machines
- Problem solving any manufacturing issues
- Support the Operations Team in the operating procedures, elimination of faults as to ensure repeatability and to maximise the capability and output of the machining equipment

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
