**Your Climate Change Project Officer role**:
These are fantastic opportunities for experienced Project Officers to join our newly established Climate Change Team and to work on projects that will really make a difference to our residents' lives.

**Climate Change Project Officer - Business Community**

You will engage with businesses, community energy groups and support organisations, collating intelligence and designing projects which support sustainable growth.

**Climate Change Project Officer - Energy management and Systems**

You will take specific responsibility for the ongoing monitoring and management of the Councils internal clean energy producing assets, working alongside the Estates Management team to track performance. Knowledge and experience of energy management systems is important for this role.

In these exciting and proactive project roles, you will:

- Pro-actively seek opportunities to deliver on the climate change aspirations of Babergh and Mid Suffolk as set out in the developing Carbon Plan. Work with partners and stakeholders to deliver specific projects and priorities which meet the wider District and Suffolk Climate change agenda. Work with our communities and businesses and support them to develop their climate change and energy production aspirations as part of our place leadership role.
**What we’re looking for in our Climate Change Project Officer**:
We are looking for driven individuals who are genuinely interested in Climate Change and can help the Councils to drive key projects in the Climate Change programme.

You will need to demonstrate:

- Experience of project and programme management processes. Experience of working with businesses of all sizes. Experience of working within the Climate Change or Net Zero field. Ability to work with a wide range of partners, consultants and key stakeholders. Evidence of working with funders and securing funding for projects. Experience of budget management. Experience of managing risk. Some experience of working in or with the public sector would be desirable.
