**About The Role**:
Ambulnz Community Partners (ACP) are proud to be an established private ambulance provider with a deeply rooted history in supporting the NHS. We assess, care, treat and transport hundreds of patients along in urgent and emergency situations every day.

Our organisation is expanding, and we have a growing demand for Paramedics. Providing first class care to patients is our priority, and you’ll be responsible for more than just getting patients to and from their hospital appointments, as we are committed to the people 1stapproach of providing excellent **care**, with **compassion** and great **communication**.

You will be the crew lead working as part of a double crew on one of our ambulances. You will be responsible for assessing patients, providing care and treatment for them. You will be expected to transport patients and their relatives/carers to hospital, whether this be urgent or an emergency.

All our patients have different needs, and it is down to you to make sure that they are made to feel comfortable while on their journey. You will have a real opportunity to make a difference.

**What Will You Be Doing**:

- You will provide a professional and caring service to all patients.
- Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency.
- You must follow the Trust specific scope of practice which will be provided via induction and reference documentation.
- Providing the highest standards of clinical and personal care within the inter-hospital and pre-hospital environment.
- Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way as directed by the Emergency Control Centre staff, senior clinician, scene manager and any other authorised manager.
- Responding to the clinical requirements of the patient and if need be, follow directions from a senior clinician on scene or remotely as per the clinical guidelines/protocols.
- If relevant support the lead clinician by providing effective clinical care using appropriate knowledge and skills to assist them with making professional judgements, conducting diagnostic procedures, and providing safe and effective treatments.
- Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
- Transporting patients to the relevant health care services, following the correct procedures.
- Ensuring safe transfer of patients to and from the vehicles, considering the safety of the patient, self, and colleagues. Using the most appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
- Providing accurate and legible completion of all relevant documents including the Patient Clinical Records (PCR), vehicle and equipment log sheets.
- Able to organise and manage complex incidents until a manage/commander arrives.
- If appropriate, in line with Trust guidelines treat, refer or discharge patients who do not need hospital admission.
- Utilise relevant information to assist patients, patient advocates, or carers to make informed health choices in line with national guidance.
- Make reasoned decisions regarding initiating, modifying, or ceasing treatment or procedures and ensure accurate documentation of decisions.
- Ensure compliance with medicines management. Ensuring all drugs are stored securely and where appropriate stocked according to both national legal frameworks and local policy.

**Role Requirements**:

- Have at least 2 years driving experience and no more than 3 points on your license (for insurance purposes).
- You will hold a paramedic qualification and be on the HCPC register and an emergency driving qualification.
