We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Nursing Associate to join our extremely rewarding unit.

Butler Green is an enhanced intermediate care unit which heavily involves therapy staff on aiding patients to reach the optimum health in facilitating a safe discharge to an appropriate destination with a home first approach.

**Main duties of the job**:
Butler Green is a 27 bedded enhanced intermediate care ward focusing on rehabilitation of patients as both step up from the community and step down from the acute wards.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual who is able to care for patients with rehabilitation needs.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated nursing associate with a passion for delivering high standards of care. The Unit receives patients from the acute hospitals and community services for patients living within the Oldham Community footprint.

- Degree / diploma in nursing studies(or equivalent nursing qualification and experience)

- Evidence of mentorship qualification

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
- Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice

**Abilities**:

- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to support, supervise, assess and act as a role model to nursing associate students, other learners and health care support workers as required within the clinical setting.
- Maintain high standards of quality in corporate and clinical record keeping ensuring information is always recorded accurately, appropriately and kept up to date
