Nanny/housekeeper

An exciting opportunity to have a varied role supporting a young a family in West Woodhay, Newbury. Berks. Currently, the role will combine a mixture of nannying, housekeeping and family PA. You will be helping look after two children, Sam aged 6 and Martha aged 4.5 and our puppy Noodle, a black Labrador who is 6 months old.

However, the family are going to take over the family estate at some point in the next 18 months so the role will evolve over time with a greater focus on managing the home/helping with a variety of estate duties when they move and as the children get older.

As such, we looking for an allrounder who enjoys variety, has a good worth ethic, is proactive and has broad range of experience, ideally including working with children, being a house keeper, managing a busy home and some office/PA duties. We’re looking for a long-term appointment with someone who can grow with us as we grow as a family.

In addition accommodation could be provided as part of the package if required. Salary tbd depending on experience and as to whether accommodation is required. Due to the location, someone who loves the countryside and is comfortable around animals and country pursuits is necessary. Partners and pets are also welcome.

**Although not exhaustive duties are to include the following;**

Preparing kids meals

Picking up the kids from school during term time.

Helping with kids tea and homework during term time

Keeping on top of the childrens schedules, deadlines and dates, preparing everything that is needed for the following day (daily preparation of school bags, presents for parties, etc)

Helping out with the children during the school holidays and half term

Identifying times available for the family to book fun activities and source ideas, including holidays

Occasionally evening babysitting, agreed in advance

Occasionally sleeping over and looking after the children and dog - always agreed well in advance

Dog care and walking when the family are away and or not available during the week

Keep the house running smoothly and ensuring that it is kept tidy and organised

Manage household supplies and maintenance

Laundry and ironing on a daily basis.

Occasionally Clean the Air Bnb or Glamping huts that we manage (this will be when the normal cleaner is on holiday)

Occasionally help with some gardening/sweeping outside areas

**Hours of work**: this can be flexible but ideally looking for circa 30 hours (12.00 - 18.00 daily)

Additionally during the school holidays extra hours maybe requested if possible

**Minimum experience for this job**: Minimum of 2 years child care experience and running/managing a busy home

**Essential criteria**

Positive, professional can-do attitude

Exacting standards and a good eye for detail

Full and clean driving license

Non smoker

Excellent checkable references
