Scope of job:

- Arrange and manage approval of courses and units, including central verification of graded units.
- Arrange and manage quality assurance visits.
- Arrange and manage external verification, including:

- Coordinate and produce both end of year and interim reports for external verification processes throughout SRUC;
- Coordinate, and maintain appropriate records of, external verification visits and outcomes of such visits.
- Deal with incoming/outgoing queries regarding quality assurance (both internal and external).
- Provide relevant information & reports as required for colleagues throughout SRUC.
- Be the SRUC Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and City and Guilds (C&G) co-ordinator.
- Be the first point of contact across SRUC for SQA and City & Guilds matters.
- Be the point of contact for other awarding bodies such as EQL.
- Work with SQA quality manager & City & Guilds manager in regard to systems verification.
- Prior verification graded units and other units.
- Attend SQA Quality Managers focus groups as and when required.
- Assign user access to SQA Connect.
- Obtain unit exemplars (Assessment Support Packs (ASP)) via secure access.
- Attend Quality Assurance team meetings and other quality assurance meetings.
- Play a lead role in the process of Curriculum planning
- Represent the Quality Assurance Lead as and when required.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and focus of the post.
