**Role Description**

We are currently recruiting an HGV Driver to join our team at Lords Timber Hemel Hempstead. Applicants should possess a current Class 1 or Class 2 (Cat C & E) licence and a current HIAB crane licence, ideally with three years' experience on both. The daily duties of the job will be delivering timber and associated products, often to multiple drops. This will include:

- Operating commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes, including rigid trucks
- Driving long or short distances Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
- Supervising or helping to load and unload goods
- Lifting and carrying building materials
- Making sure loads are safely secured
- Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary
- Completing delivery paperwork
- Keeping up-to-date logbooks
- Carrying out basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks

Hours: 7am-4.30pm Mon-Fri

**Salary**: £34,000+ per annum according to experience

**Requirements**:

- Valid HGV license and clean driving record
- Valid HIAB crane license and experience in operating a HIAB crane
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Eligible to work in the UK

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
